We were drawn to Rocky’s Burger Bus by the promise of “a meat orgy,” which we’d read about in Gourmet magazine.
Rocky’s Burger Bus in Calgary is definitely a stop for burger lovers. This unassuming red bus with white trim is where you’ll find genuine, homemade burger patties and fresh french fries. We had both. And could barely finish the burger.
As the people at Rocky’s Burgers say, they’re “best known for our 10 ounce, hand-rolled, homemade burgers that are made and cooked fresh every day. We use all Alberta beef to make our patties and we are proud of it. All of our fries are hand-punched every morning as well, using potatoes from the Springvale Hutterite Colony.”
They’ve also got shakes and hot dogs on the menu.
Rocky’s Burger Bus Hours and Location
Rocky’s Burger Bus is open daily from Tuesday to Sunday. Closed Mondays and statutory holidays.
Rocky’s moved the bus in 2013, added more features to the bus and a patio for customers. You’ll now find Rocky’s Burger Bus in the parking lot outside the East entrance of the Crossroads Farmers Market (see address below).
We liked it so much, we bought the t-shirt. Let us know if you’ll visit (or have already been) in the comments, below.
Here are some other places to try in Calgary.
