I found a Starbucks in Ghent at the Korenmarkt plaza.
Sometimes, when you’re far away from home, and you need a really good coffee, you find a sign that welcomes you with its familiarity.
When I’m traveling I focus on trying the local specialty coffee shops. I love finding the coffee roasters that specialize in dark roasts. It’s even better when they are buying direct from coffee growers or are using sustainable practices.
I do love Starbucks. There are days when I’m traveling that I’ve had bad coffee after coffee and I just want something I can count on. This was one of those days. I felt fortunate to find the familiar green logo of Starbucks in Ghent. And it was so good.
The view of the Korenmarkt plaza was pretty great, too.
