Memories of Japan in North York has regular tables, a sushi bar and teppanyaki (grill) tables.
The Sushi Bar
At Memories of Japan in North York, there’s a sushi bar, typically with two sushi chefs making plates and trays of sushi. Seats are available here, too.
Teppanyaki Tables
The teppanyaki tables are popular and tend to fill up during lunch hour.
Teppanyaki Ume is a very good full lunch which includes soup, salad, shrimp appetizer, rice, vegetables, chicken and steak.
The teppanyaki table chefs offer a bit of fun entertainment along the way, too!
Bento Box Takeout
For takeout, I like the Katsura Bento. It’s chicken teriyaki with a simple iceberg salad.
It also includes a cucumber roll and tuna roll sushi appetizer, plus green tea ice cream.
I have to emphasize with them when ordering that I want tuna roll, as promised on the menu, or they always substitute salmon without telling me in advance. I only learn of it when I get back to the office.
Parking for Memories of Japan
It can be really tough to get parking some days. Other times, you can find open spaces towards the street side of the parking lot.
In the same plaza as Memories of Japan in North York you’ll find Sorento Mediterranean Restaurant, Swiss Chalet and Tilley Endurables travel clothing.
