First Off, Find the Restaurant
Amadeus Ghent 1 is in the midst of winding streets, so do follow the map. And, don’t get tripped up like me, mistaking the other (closed at night) location and pout.
I had given up and was looking for a different restaurant when I realized I just needed to go further along the street (coming from the north) to get to a different Amadeus location, which was open.
Next, Order the Best Rib Dinner Deal in Ghent
The restaurant was filled with Belgians, in addition to the smart travelers who’d found the place.
A large group of co-workers, drinks in hand, were jammed into the tables next to me, out for a night on town. After a quick conversation, they recommended a good beer and doubled down on my intent to order the all-you-can-eat rib platter.
I ordered a delightfully mellow Belgian Palm beer and the 15.95€ all you can eat ribs.
It turns out I didn’t need more than the one full meaty rack they delivered.
If you’re hungry, take advantage of more. The waiter, out of habit, comes by with more ribs or potatoes. One doesn’t have to ask.
Yes, the service at Amadeus Ghent 1 was great.
I don’t even like baked potatoes, normally, but the buttery, curried sauce on the baked potato inspired me to eat half of mine.
I would have finished the baked potato because it was so flavourful and satisfying, but I had already tried the delicious ribs.
While I tasted a forkful or two of the coleslaw (good), I couldn’t finish it, either.
I know, I’m embarrassing the all-you-can-eat stars out there.
They deliver a custom-imprinted wet napkin with your dinner (which blends so well with the tablecloth). You can quickly clean yourself up when you’re done with the ribs.
Considering I spent 10€ for a terrible bowl of ramen the day before, this rib dinner deal in Ghent wins my vote hands down.
